Stuttery Video in Premiere Pro

This insane stuttery thing happens when attempting to edit on Premiere Pro and Premiere Rush. I'm running a baseline Macbook Pro from last year that meets the min requirements to run the software. The video also exports like that - it's not just playback in the editor. Original file is an MOV and does not behave like that.

I moved your post over from the poorly named "Using the Community" forum, which is for getting help using this forum system, to a better forum.

I hope this helps. Best of luck to you.

Strange, I don't know what could be doing that. It's variable frame rate footage, perhaps try converting it to constant frame rate via Handbrake (it's free) and see what you come up with.

Thanks I’ll try that.

Everything became fine when I converted the raw file from MOV to mp4.

But it will be nice to not have the freedom to work with straight MOVs.

Grateful,
