In a regular Premiere Project file, we embed metadata to the video clips using the premiere metadata panel and embedding works fine.
However, when using Team Projects, embedding metadata to video files seems to be disabled.
We can still add metadata to the video files with the metadata panel, but nothing embeds. It's like the metadata becomes only recorded within the premiere project itself. This is bad because then the metadata shown in the Premiere Project for video files is now different from what is embedded.
Team Projects does read and display the video file metadata that was embedded before it was part of a Team Project. The video files fully support embedding metadata as we're using ProRes422Proxy codec in a .mov container. All users are using Premiere Pro 2021 same version.
We are two users, and have a local copies of the media on each of our hard drives.
Media mapping seems fine, as it finds all the media for both users. We can edit in Team Project with no issue.
I can only guess the metadata embedding gets disabled because each of us two users have our own copy of the source media and maybe Team Projects can't write to all the local copies and syncronize embedded metadata across all user's copies of the video files. That's the only thing I can think of.
Does anyone know if this behavior in Team Projects in by design?
thanks
Anton
