Hi, I have a HP ZBook G6 17 and when I import a video in my timeline Premiere freezes. I have reinstalled Windows and reset Premiere to its factory settings, enabled correctly my dedicated GPU and I tried switching to software instead of CUDA. None of these solutions worked, my specs are the following

  • Windows 10 Pro 64
  • Intel® Core™ i7 9750H
  • Screen FHD IPS (17,3") (43,9 cm) (1920 x 1080)
  • 16 GB SDRAM
  • SSD 512 GB
  • NVIDIA® Quadro® T1000 (4 GB GDDR5)

I'd be glad if any of you could give me some advice, thank you.

P.S I am running the latest version of Premiere.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear that. We'd love to help you out.

It could be file specific. Is it happening with all the video files that you try to import? Does it show any error message? Also, have you tried changing the renderer? Here's how: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-how-to-change-the-video-renderer-in-premiere-pro/td-...

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Nishu
