Tinkering with the Effects Controls but it's not responding.

I'm trying to tinker with the effects control but it's not responding, like I click and nothing happens, I can't open the tabs, this was out of nowhere

At present, there is an issue with nested audio: delete or disable Show Audio Waveform.

I'm presuming you do have a clip selected on a timeline panel first?

As if you don't, this would be the natural result.
