Putting 2-3 PNGs in my video overlay seems to decrease my export time for a 3 minute video from about 7 minutes to 30-33 minutes. Makes no sense and can't find export settings around it. Advice?

Are they huge files?

Cover the entire timeline?

The files are two basic PNGs (16 kb) but do cover entire timeline.

16 kb does not say much. Premiere is only interrested in height and width in pixel.

If 2-3 image cover the entire timeline then yes that will take time to encode.
