Hi Guys,
I am having problems doing something (and i am not sure if its just because i have made up in my head you should be able to do it).
I have a video clip that is say 4hrs long, and i have identified a clip from that i would like to bring to my timeline. So in the source monitor, i marked the shorter clip in and out (for the bit that i want). The issue is that when i drag it to the timeline, it just brings the whole 4 hours and not my selection.
So i guess my question is two-fold: Is what i am trying to do even possible? And if it is, is there something wrong with the way i am trying to do it?
I am using premiere pro cc on a Macbok pro recently updated to Big Sur.
I'm quite new to this and normally what i would have done is imported the whole 4 hours into the timeline, deleted everything i didnt want untl i was left with my tiny clip. However, seen as there are the in out markers when i was reviewing my footage, i assumed it would be able to work that way.
Thanks

this happens when you drag from both the project panel and source monitor?
did you try both? just to narrow down the issue, i haven't yet updated to Big Sur,
I prefer to wait for at least 1 update later ...

I guess we are on a bug with Big Sur
for now, can you please try to trash the preferences and clean your media cache?
sometimes when premiere acts weird, it is because of preferences conflict...
@Kevin-Monahan can you please take a look at this?
