I just accidentally removed the timeline from my Premiere window and when I brought it back, I no longer can hear the audio when I run the timeline cursor across the timeline. I can still hear the audio when I press play, but not hearing the audio when running back and forth is really hurting my ability to edit videos. Thanks!
Ensure Preferences>Audio>Play audio while scrubbing is still checked.

You may want to re-set preferences.
Close Premiere.
On Mac hold down Shift/Option/Command while clicking on icon to open the app.
Same procedure for Windows but hold down Shift/Alt/Control.
Let your system make changes while the app is opening.
Re-open the project and see if it behaves better.

Tried that and nothing changed. I'm guessing my preferences got changed because I dropped my laptop and then my timeline disappeared, and then when I put the timeline back it's not working right. I tried re-removing the timeline and readding it, but that didn't help either.

You dropped your laptop?
Check if you still have audio on the laptop itself.
