Video playback not responsive/not rendering audio

Premier Pro periodically does the following: randomly dropout audio completely, video playback delay from 3-10 seconds, cpu usage that averages about a steady 20% usage during playback jumps to 60-100% usage at random on 1080p footage at 1/4 resolution playback.

ANY suggestions would be helpful.

I am updated to newest version of Premier Pro.

hardware specs:

32gb ddr43200mhrtz memory

geforce 1660 ti 6gb video card

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8 core processor

• What type of files are you editing (codec/ format, frame rate, frame size)?
• Could you check if there's any update available for your GPU driver?
