Voice over difficulties

Hi

I keep having issues hooking up a mic through a h4n zoom to premiere to record voice overs.  One minute I'm all set then then next my audio clip mixer goes offline. The record button at the bottom goes missing. 

Any pointers greatly appreciated.

Why not record with the zoom and then import into Premiere.

Thank you, I figured it out. I get more accuracy syncing to picture this way.

Is the Zoom powered by an AC adapter? Is it power saving and shutting off?

Thank you, after lots of troubleshooting it works sweet! It wasn't a setting thing, not sure combination of software/hardware headaches.
