I opened up premiere pro and i saw this. when I click something nothing happens.

1- You need to double click on the sequence file in the project panel for it to open (The thumbnail on the right)
2- You can change your workspace (Window --> Workspaces)

What fixed it for me is trying to "blindly" move around the timeline cursor (the one in the image) and switching back and forth to another workspace somewhere around 5 times. Hope this helps!
switching the workspace fromt he sequence thing on the top left fixed it for me.
