What happened with Gradient Wipe in Premiere Pro CC 2018

I have a project that was started with the previous version of Premiere Pro.  All my Gradient wipes are gone.  Straight cuts now.

Any suggesions

Reapply the gradient wipes.

Just as a bit of pertinent datum ... when migrating to a new version of PrPro ... 2017 was the 11.x build series, 2018 is the 12.x ... it's been noted on here that it often works better to create a new project in the new version, then from the Media Browser, navigate to the old version project file and import it, which is apparently a slightly different process internally than just 'opening' an older project file in a new version. And has fewer issues like this.

Thank you.  that is good to know.  it was happening on projects that were from older versions.
