Hello community,

does anyone know the latest version of Premiere Pro where harware/GPU acceleration works with a Nvidia Quadro 6000? (I guess it might be Premiere Pro CC 2018 (12.0) but I'm not sure) How do I download/install this older version with my CC license (the oldest version that is offered there is Premiere Pro (14.0) )? Thx in advance 🙂

Unfortunately, CC 2018 (12.x) was the last version of Premiere Pro that was compatible with the Quadro 6000. And you're out of luck at this point because the Quadro 6000 and all other Fermi GPUs are now completely obsolete. You see, Nvidia had completely discontinued all driver development and support outside of archived drivers for that generation of GPUs back in 2018. Version 377.83 was the very last driver version to support the Fermi Quadros, dating from way back in January 2018.

And you will not be able to use the Quadro 6000 for GPU acceleration in any currently available version of Premiere Pro: Adobe, since May 2019, has restricted older version availability to the major version that immediately precedes the current major version. This means that version 14.x is now the oldest version that's currently available. Unfortunately, version 14.0 requires a driver version newer than 440.xx just to even be deemed "compatible." The current version 15.2 requires driver version higher than 457.xx just to be compatible. Neither of those two driver branches are compatible at all with your GPU.

And you're stuck between a rock and a hard place right now, with regards to GPU upgrades: Every single newer GPU is either in very short supply or astronomically expensive at this present time. As a result, the only cost-effective solution right now would be to simply purchase a brand-new PC with all-newer-generation components.
