What's the current way of exporting video with alpha (i.e. transparent areas)?

After QuickTime and its formats have been deprecated, what's the currently supported way of exporting videos with alpha channel?

I'd like to import such overlay video clips into Virtual DJ, Camtasia or other Windows 10 video tools, so the suggested alpha format should be generally available and supported.

Your answers are very much appreciated.

If you have ProRes 4444 with alpha available, use that. Otherwise, you should be able to use GoPro Cineform RGB 12-bit with alpha.

I'm on a Mac so no PC export choices for me to check. Sorry.
