Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot the properties of your media in tree view:

If the file is variable frame rate, which although Adobe says it will support, many users are having issues with VFR.

Use Hand brake to convert to constant frame rate:

This MP4 is video screen capture? If yes, this video is Variable Frame Rate (VFR) and you need to set it at some Constant Frame Rate (CFR). Righ clic in clip in Project panel / Modify / Interpret Footage... In this tab set it with some framerate that is ok like 29,97 fps, 30 fps, 59,94 fps, 60 fps and so on. You have to making test one by one.

Thanks for the quick response,

sadly this only speeds the video down if i turn it to 29,97fps , 30fps.

And yes it is a screen capture! It originally was a flv file I converted it for convenience to mp4 (It works perfectly fine if I play it back normally)

If you already transcoded it there you already have another problem.

Try the following: put your clip on the timeline, press the "R" key on the keyboard (Rate Stretch Tool), go to the end of the clip on the Video Track and move closer to the end edge until the tool is fully activated, click Hold and drag until it snaps into the audio you have on the audio track. This way you have both at the same duration and perhaps they'll be synchronized. (I can't make screenshot to show you because the Tool selected dessapears when I try)

After converting it to constant framerate (with handbrake) i have the same error ... but this time when playing it with mediaplayer too! Im going to try a few things with handbrake since it somehow worked a bit

EDIT: After fiddling around with it, it finally worked! Thank you so much!!!
