Hey there,

So, there are around 3 options to choose from and I would like to choose the rendering option from my graphics card, but when I do that, everything just goes black...why is that? What do I have to do?

What is your CPU, the GPU, the media you're working with, and what effects?

Software Only in the Mercury Acceleration option you show means that the GPU will not be used.

CUDA means it will use an Nvidia GPU. OpenCL and Metal are for the AMD GPUs

But we'd need more information to help.

First of all, thank you.

Second, here are the details:

- Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 - 9750H CPU @2.60GHz

- NVDIA GeForce GTX 1650

AND

- Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630

- media is an mp4. I film it on my iphone and I have to convert it to mp4 first because somehow it doesn't work when working with .mov

- I don't know what you mean with which effects?

Always when I turn to NVDIA, my preview turns pitch black. How can I solve this and what's the underlying problem?

Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers
Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter
•nVidia Driver Downloads http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
•ATI Driver https://www.amd.com/en/support
There are also intermittent reports that the newest driver is not always the best driver due to driver bugs or compatibility issues, so you MAY need to try an earlier driver version

Your computer's operating system doesn't know how to talk to the hardware inside. There are programs that tell your operating system how to interact with your hardware. These are called device drivers.

Are you using both the integrated graphics on your motherboard and the Nvidia GPU?

Sorry, but again, what do you mean by this? Isn't it possible to only use ONE of them (like the picture above)

You could be using a primary monitor on a GPU and a secondary or third monitor on an integrated. But this is rare. Honestly, I must have been tired when posting this.
