Why the hell is Premiere Pro 21 crashing so frickin much?

This is so annoying. I've been trying to open this project and the blue bar at the bottom stops midway. the project won't play, and i have to restart my computer over and over again. what is this garbage update?

Can you try to:

• Reset Premiere Pro preferences: FAQ: How to reset preferences in Premiere Pro?
• Clear the media cache

Yes, happens with most projects that Premiere asked me to convert to the '21 project format after the recent update.

I did try clearing the cache, and the workflow has become faster. Strangely, the version installed on my primary computer (13-inch MacBook Pro late 2017) works flawlessly, and the one installed on my secondary machine (15-inch MacBook Pro mid 2018) is glitching out (even though the RAM on the latter is significantly higher). Is there a possibility to roll back to the previous version or skip this update completely until these issues are ironed out?

Try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
