I am new to Adobe Premiere Pro. I went through the tutorials. I wanted to start editing my own videos, old home movies that I've reformatted to .mov. I try to open a new project but all of the files are grayed out, on the external drive and the internal drive. No matter what I do I cannot get any of my video files to open. I even tried transcoding one to the .mp4 but it's grayed out too. No idea what to do. I know I'm new and I admit that I am but slightly introduced... but surely this must be a glitch? What do I do?

If you browse to your video files in the Media Browser, are you able to Hover Scrub the video files?
While Premiere Pro has very broad file support, it doesn't support everything. Have you checked to see if your video file type is supported?
