Hello,

I'm very new to working with premiere pro and using Proxies. I created Proxies for my 4k clips all of which are saved to an external hard drive. I had to crerate a new project on Premiere pro and imported my raw footage, pressed the proxy switch button and nothing happened.

Do i have to re-link the proxies or something? I have no idea so any help would be much appreciated.

I've realised I can just right click and use attach proxy. If there is a better way then I'd love to know but this is working.

Cheers

There are some decent tutorials on the web regards this, but no, you shouldn't need to 'attach' separately from creating them. It should all happen on ingest. Whatever you do, and watch, remember to NOT create proxies in h.264. I use 720p Cineform proxies with 4k and 1080p clips.
