Dear Adobe Premiere Rush Team,

I would like to request a new feature that would greatly enhance the video editing experience in Premiere Rush: the ability to create a still frame at the location of the playhead (cursor) for a specified duration. This feature is available in Apple's free software iMovie and is incredibly intuitive and useful for creating professional-looking edits quickly.

Feature Description:

  • Still Frame Creation: Add an option to create a still frame from the current frame where the playhead is positioned.
  • Duration Adjustment: Allow users to specify the duration of the still frame (e.g., through a duration input box or drag to adjust on the timeline).
  • Resize and Reposition: Make it possible to scale and reposition the still frame directly in the preview window, similar to iMovie's functionality.

Benefits of this Feature:

  1. Improved Workflow: Quickly add emphasis or pause moments in a video without needing to export or create a separate image.
  2. Creative Control: Enhance storytelling with freeze-frame effects and smooth transitions.
  3. User-Friendly Editing: Make Premiere Rush even more accessible to beginners, while providing a powerful tool for advanced users.

This addition would make Premiere Rush more competitive with other video editing tools and provide users with an efficient way to enhance their videos.

Thank you for considering this request!
