Black Playback screen

Hello, I've recently downloaded Premiere Rush (macbook PRO)and I'm having an issue with the playback screen. whenever I import a video I can hear and see the audio in the bar below but I can't see the video. I have seen some solutions and I've tried them such as: optimizing clips, making sure "Pre-render Sequences for playback" is checked, and uninstalling and reinstalling the app but nothing has fixed the issue.

I read about your problem. Sounds frustrating. Can you try deleting media cache in Settings and then rebooting the computer? You can also try updating macOS and resetting preferences. Let us know if you need assistance with that. I hope the advice helps. Sorry for the issue.
