Can't use my media (vids + photos) from my gallery.

This is probably a simple issue, but when I create a new project and try to select media from the "Movies" and "Pictures" folders, they are empty. How do I use the media from the Photos app on MacBook Air M2?

Are the contents of those folders in file formats that are supported by Premiere Rush?

Thank you for your suggestion. In order for me to import media into premier rush, I found I had to export the media from my Photo's app onto a folder on my file explorer app. This made the media visible and able to select to import in premier.
