Is there any way to simply duplicate a completed Rush CC project so that it can be used as a template for future projects? Thanks

I wonder if this would help! There is a functionality to duplicate sequences in Rush.

This would be a really great feature to implement. I would like to be able to make multiple versions of projects in Rush, and being able to duplicate the project in the Home Screen would do it.

Pleased vote for this idea;

Hi erinh31070065, Meg The Dog ,

Thanks for trying out Premiere Rush and highlighting your doubt.

Though duplicating a project is not possible in Premiere Rush currently, the same purpose can be achieved by duplicating a sequence in project panel. Just open the project panel, click on ellipsis(...) on any sequence thumbnail and hit Duplicate to copy that sequence in the project panel.

You can also rename the (duplicated )sequences as you like and keep them intact while you continue editing on the original sequence.

I Hope this will help.

You can also submit feature requests for anything you would like to see in Rush here: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/916423-premiere-rush

Keep highlighting your doubts. !

Glad to help,

Mayjain

That doesn't solve the issue because I want to create multiple versions of the video to share on different platforms. If I duplicate the sequence it still doesn't allow me to copy that sequence in another project so I can make a different cut without re-doing all the splicing I've already done.

So now I have to make one really long video, with all the cuts I need back to back and then export it, then cut them again to be separate videos??? Or start over from the original media file for every new cut? Very impractical.

I'm not seeing a more practical way of doing that with the current functionality. Am I missing something?

There is a method for that:

Edit a project on one device

sync it to another

switch syncing off

Edit the project on the synced copy on the second device

return to the first device

switch syncing on

Rush senses that the edited other version will want to override the first version.

Rush asks if you want to save the soon to be changed version “as is“ under another name.

this is then your copy.

SUPER EASY TRICK! You don't have to duplicate the project in Adobe Premiere itself. If you're using a MAC (not sure if this option works on PC), all you have to do is find the file on your computer, wherever you saved it, right click and select duplicate. You can then rename your file in Premiere.

Where are the projects files usually stored? I haven't been able to find them.

Hi jinger89,

"The project is stored in Creative Cloud but the format of that data is very different than a standalone project file. Hence, you wouldn't find that in your Creative Cloud storage."

Please refer to this thread : Re: Where is your Project File stored locally or in the cloud?

Thanks,
