Premier Rush sometimes, but not always, reports invalid media format error attempting to add a jpg that was downloaded to the camera roll by Adobe Lightroom.  Very annoying to have to take a screen shot in order to use conten in one Adobe product that was generated by

another Adobe products, especially when we're talking about a file format that has been around for decades.

Hi there!

Sorry about the trouble. Which device are you using for Premiere Rush? Could you share a sample file with us to test? https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/share.html

Let us know.

Thanks.

Here's a link to the file that Premier Rush will not import. https://shared-assets.adobe.com/link/f02e36b9-ab3e-4756-7012-871b7d4a3e41

The history of this file is as such

original photo shot in Raw Mode on Canon R5

On Windows 11 (v 22H2) Dell Laptop

exported to DNG by Adobe Bridge (v 13.0.3.693)
      added to Lightroom (v 6.4)
      performed some edit

On Apple iPhone 14 pro Max (fully up to date IOS)

      bring up Lightroom v 8.4.0 4AF942/102
      add a copyright
export to camera roll which generates the offending file - link above
      execute Premier Rush v 2.6 (1)
add media to a new or existing project, selecting the offending file
Invalid Media Type error is thrown and import fails

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Tim

The offending file is a .jpg, not raw.

Was originally shot in raw mode, converted to DNG by adobe bridge, and then ultimately exported by Lightroom on my iPhone as a .jpg to my camera role. It’s this .jpg that premier rush complains about.

I hope that clears things up.

Thanks,
Tim
