No sound using rush app on iPhone xr

I've just tried a test edit and can see the audio in the cars on the side (levels moving) but no sound when I play the clip. I can hear the clip when I play it in the media library (where I selected it from the rush collection installed).  I can see where this has been a problem for desktop and there are edit-preferences- audio input advice but that's not applicable to iPhone.

I'm having the same issue. I tried deleting the app and redownloaded it, but no go
