Project assets and thumbnails missing and replaced with grey film and cloud icons

When I opened Rush, instead of seeing the thumbnails for my various projects, they all have grey filmstrip icons. When I enter the projects nothing is there, no media assets, no video, nothing. All of the titles for the projects are there, accompanied by a small cloud icon and in some cases a cloud and monitor icon.

The Rush documentation says this regarding the cloud icon:

Cloud only and not currently on the device, but this project can be accessed on all devices

Downloads the project to the device and opens it.

However, when I click on the project to open it, it simply opens to a blank project area and nothing downloads. I'm not sure what's happening and am hoping it's just some basic error I've made, but any tips or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Just FYI: I'm using the latest version of Rush on a Mac Studio, OS 13.4.1 Ventura

Hi, @ultramagnetic74,

Were these projects located on a different device or just this one?

Thanks,

Kevin

I created them on the desktop. I only tried opening them in the iPad version of Rush today to see if, by chance, the files might be there, but no luck.

I have all of the original video and audio files in the Rush assets folder, but when I open the projects there is nothing there, so it's not asking to re-link to those original files. It simply has the original titles in now empty projects. It's very odd.

Hi,

Have you tried resetting your preferences? That worked for another editor. See this discussion: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-rush-discussions/rush-doesn-t-show-my-projects-when-i-open-t....

Let us know if that shakes things loose.

Thanks,

Kevin

Thank you for your reply. That person seemed to be having a different issue than I am. Also, it seems they were working on a PC, so pressing alt while clicking on the Rush icon didn't do anything on my end with regard to preferences. I can go into Settings, but it's not clear what they are suggesting I change.
