variable speed changes in single clip?

I don't see an option to have variable speed changes in a single clip?  Why not?  Sure, I can select a section of the clip to have a constant speed change, but the transition is to abrupt.  I could also cut the clips and change speeds but that is time consuming and not smooth.  

I want to have the ability to perhaps start a video slow and gradually speed it up and slow back down again with a gradual and smooth change.  The speed and point the point of the video speed should be adjustable.  DJI has such a nice feature for this on the Ipad, but their software is buggy.  You can add anker points and slide the speed up and down and it will create a smooth transition.  Imagine a drone shot flying in on a point of interest quickly than slowing it down as it circles the point of interest and speeding back up as you fly away.  Can't do this with Adobe Rush.  See image on how DJI does it

Thanks for writing in. Yes, Rush has this capability. Just make sure that you have the current version installed and click the Speed tool. See the screenshot below. I hope the advice helps.

Maybe I am missing something, but I only see an option to set a single speed for a section of the clip.  I see you can adjust the section of clip and the speed, but I don't see how you can set up variable speeds within that single clip. Can you send me a screen shot of that same clip with the beginnning starting at 25% speed, ramping up to 150% of speed in the middle, than slowing back down to 80% of speed with smooth and gradual transitions.

For anyone reading this thread, the pinned adobe response is not correct.  To make my request more clear, I am asking for multiple (variable) speed changes in a single clip.  You can only make 1 constant speed change per clip, which you can only ramp into and out of from 100%.  You can't do something as simple as have a clip go from 50% of speed to 150% of speed.  In this case you need two speed changes.  50% is one and 150% is the second.  The only way to possibly do this is have 1 clip go from 50% to 100% with a ramp.  Split the clip and start the 2nd clip at 100% and ramp to 150%.  But this requires multiple clips and the transitions won't be perfectly smooth.  So, as I mentioned, you can't do variable (multiple) speed changes in a single clip.

Yes you can do this. You need to right clip on the clip in the timeline, in that menu at the bottom choose "show clip keyframes" and turn on Time Remapping/Speed. Then use the pen tool to set your various keyframes and the pen tool to drag the speed up or down on the clip. The size of your tracks needs to be increased to see this.
