Voice overs not synching - file paths too long

Explorer ,
Jan 05, 2024 Jan 05, 2024

Hi,

I am creating voice overs to a video using Rush on an iPhone, and the trying to access them on Windows.

They do not appear in the project in Windows though, and Creative Cloud sync gives the following error:

Unable to sync <filename> because the file path is too long. Please rename this file or change its folder so that the path is shorter.

I have no control over the file path, so obviously can't do this. The Adobe website says the maximum path length is 260 characters, which hasn't been true for a while.

The path name (excluding the file) is:

\\?\D:\Creative Cloud\Creative Cloud Files\Adobe\Assets\d85fb33c-ffe1-ba4f-4622-925a1ae47590master\1B31EA6BD5AC20B872FA984B8B6B72DD9397E5C5165ACDC0BBDA42F22F7347AB\data\data\com.adobe.premiererush.videoeditor\files\UserDocs\Users\A8341F33636185AE0A495FE9@30573b3161e87b0e495c05.e\Media\file

Which is 290 characters

Any ideas?

Neil

Thanks for the message. Sorry about that, @neilgdabc! I'm afraid that Creative Cloud Sync has ended on Feb. !, so this won't be possible anymore. Sorry, I didn't get back to you earlier. I hope you have found a workaround or a new workflow. I apologize for the frustration.

Cheers,
Kevin
