I am on my CC page and I see that I get four applications free.

I downloaded Rush and after a few video exports, Rush says I need to purchase an upgrade.

I chatted with a Adobe rep and they said that I am using a Trial version.  It is not lised in Trial.

So what does "Free" mean?  Help!  Thank you!

Adobe are disingenuous in the way they promote Rush as a part of the Cloud. It frequently misleads members.

Rush Starter is included in the Cloud and entitles you to a maximum of three exports. After that you must pay. That's not mentioned unless you dig deeper. It's really a taster to entice you to subscribe.

See https://www.adobe.com/products/premiere-rush.html

Adobe could do so much better in explaining this properly so it's clear to everyone.

Interesting.  Just like the "Free Beer Tomorrow" sign you see at a bar....

Thank you John...  I don't think they are listening right now.

I am running a very old version of LR because they made some very bizarre changes to the Develop Setting that didn't make a lot of sense for long-time users.  Also, they reconfigured the Catalog and there is almost no going back.  Well, I did because I saved my old Catalog before I upgraded.  It was a very wise decision.

Take care John!

See screenshot below.  Note the invitation to try (Starter Plan) under Spark, XD, Rush & Fresco.  Desktop apps are 7 day trials.

That's the clearest infographic I've seen from Adobe, Nancy. Be good if they would add that clarity to all their marketing.

This one is less than clear. To be frank, it's misleading.

John, Nancy,

I need your help here.  I am paying $9.99/month to Adobe for a suite of photo programs shown above.  I have not learned Photoshop and that is on my bucket list.  I use LR 99% of the time and a very old version.  If I sever my monthly subscription does Adobe delete my programs or make them inoperative?  My original LR and Photoshop purchases were a stand alone many, many years ago.

Thank you,

Phil

When you stop your subscription, all Creative Cloud apps and services stop working. But Adobe doesn't delete the programs.  You have to do that yourself.

And if you have any assets in Creative Cloud storage, you'll want to download them onto your hard drive before you cancel your plan.

CS1, CS2 and CS3 activation servers are gone.  You cannot reinstall, activate or register them anymore.

CS4, CS5 and CS6 are on life support but you can still activate them at least for now.  However old Lightroom may not be compatible with new Lightroom albums.  I don't know for sure.  Check in the  Lightroom Classic forum.
