I was working on a Rush project recently and wanted to freeze the video at a specific point for a few seconds. I couldn't figure out how to do this in Rush. In the past I was able to extract a frame as a separate clip and then extend its duration. Has anyone else figured out how to do this in Rush?
Hi Chad,
.
Thanks for highlighting this but Freeze Frame is still not implemented in Rush. Please file a feature request for the same.

Easy to do. Just make a clip of the frame and duplicate it as many times as you want.

How do you make a clip of the frame in Premiere Rush?

To isolate a frame into a new clip: Select the main clip; drag the playhead on each side to isolate the clip; and “scissor” each side. See page 45 of the Rush User Manual. You can also extend the length of a single frame by dragging the right playhead out as far as you want (instead of duplicating it.) Either is especially useful if you have added a jpeg image to the clip and want set the amount of time.
