Premier Rush video playback shows only black screen

Like the title says. I have had this bug several times. This case is with a project I have created and exported months ago. I had it synced with the cloud and saved in my device. Going back to export it again to my device to use again, and the video playback shows a black screen and on attempting to export the error message "project contains media that can not be found" comes up. 

I have lost several projects due to this. It's getting very frustrating. Is there a fix? If not, I need to change apps and cloud storage. 


my device is an iPhone 8s and with the current iOS and my premier rush has the most current version as of this date. I just updated it to see if that solved anything. It did not.
