Premiere Rush CC freezing

When I am editing a video in Rush, and I use the playback module, after a few minutes, the playback stops working. I am unable to use the buttons to navigate to previous/next edit points, previous/next frames, and play/pause. The application hangs, then is unresponsive so I force quit.

I have tried un-installing and re-installing the software, as well as restarting my computer. The application and my system are both up to date. I use macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. I also tried starting a new project from scratch and the same thing happened.

Please help! I've been able to export two other videos before this started happening while editing a third video project.

• Which version of Premiere Rush are you using? https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-rush/finding-the-premiere-rush-version-number/m-p/4788185
• What type of media files you're working on (codec/ format, frame rate, frame size)?
• Can you try clearing you preferences on launch? Option key (Mac OS) while launching Rush. You can release the Option key when the splash screen appears.
