So i wanted to get started with my first Project in Premiere Rush but whatever i import the program tells me "The File contains to many Audio Channels", am i doing something wrong or is there some sort of limitation?

Hi HF_Martini!

We can transcode your footage so that it will have the appropriate amount of audio channels. What kind of footage are you using? What'd you film it on?

You can slim it down to a single audio-channel clip using Adobe Media Encoder. If you don't have access to that, you can use Handbrake! https://handbrake.fr/

Let me know if you have any questions! Happy to help.

Hello Caroline
thanks for the reply, i used Handbrake and it worked like a charm.
They were .avi Files i recorded with Fraps or Hypersnap (not sure anymore) in 1080p-50 and by looks of it the Audio is Dolby 5.1.

Thanks

Peter
