I'm trying to add a transition, but when I drag it between 2 clips it shows up as just a black screen instead of the trasition. I am using Rush on my laptop. Anyone else having this issue?

Which transition are you applying?
What happens if you edit the transition and extend its duration?
What is the video clip you're adding the transition to? Has it been trimmed or it is completely untrimmed on the timeline?
Can you post a screen capture of the program showing your timeline, the black area and the Transitions panel open?
