7.02 broke FM import

New Here ,

I just upgraded from 7.00 -> 7.01 -> 7.02 and now my FrameMaker 8 files no longer import. Usually if I try to do an import, FM opens in the background if it isn't already running. That no longer occurs. So I open it before hand. When I try to import a FM .book file.. nothing happens. No error, no import. I noticed something was odd when the import TOC field was blank and not autolinked to the book's TOC. When I try to import just one of the .fm files, I get..

"NameOfMyFile.fm" would not be opened. Please verify this is a valid FrameMaker document"

I am using FM 8.0p277 and the files open just fine here.

Help! Of course I have to get my IT department to find the application media for me to uninstall reinstall and now I'm stuck in a hard place.

I would recommend reading the Topics for RoboHelp 7.0.2 fails to sync with FM Changes and Show-stopper with project corruption.

This seems to be a common problem with 7.0.2 and the only solution is to re-create your RoboHelp project and then re-import by reference your FrameMaker project.

I am not sure what the plan is for Adobe to fix this problem...

Good Luck-
Amanda
