Assign Author to Topic with RoboHelp

I was wondering if there was a way within RoboHelp to define all the authors that can work on topics and then assign them to each topic? I noticed throughout the RoboHelp IDE, i.e. when running reports or searching, a drop-down that says authors. However, I see nowhere in the program where you can add to the drop-down list.

As far as I know, there has never ever been a way to assign authors. I do believe this was some functionality that may have been planned years ago, but never materialized.

In case anyone is still looking for this, it's now on the General tab of Topic Properties in RoboHelp 9. I'm not sure about earlier versions.
