Hi, I have the following structure setup in the contents are:
Folder 1
Folder 11
Folder 111
Topic 1111
Topic 1112
Folder 112
Topic 1121
Topic 1122
When I use the Auto-Create TOC it creates duplicate nesting folders in the TOC area. For example
Section 1
Section 11
Section 111
Topic 1111
Topic 1112
Section 111
Topic 1111
Topic 1112
Section 112
Topic 1121
Topic 1122
Section 112
Topic 1121
Topic 1122
It seems to be creating a minimum of 2 sections per sub-folder but if you have more than two topics in it it will create the number of topics minus one. For example if there are 4 topics it will create 3 sections each with all 4 topics in it.
This behaviour seems very strange so wondering if anyone else has seen it and has a solution.
I am using Robohelp 2022.5.24 on a Mac.

This is not something I have seen on Windows or seen reported by anyone, Windows or Mac user.
First of all I suggest you try to reproduce the problem in a new project to see if it is a Mac only bug.
Then rather than use auto create, create a new TOC and then select all the top level folders in the Contents panel and drag them to the TOC. Auto create is doing just that. I suspect this way will not have the problem.

Thanks for the quick response. I would have thought you would be correct in the drag and drop solution would work but no it has the exact same issue. I am attaching a screenprint which shows the folder structure and then the resulting TOC when I drag the top level folder across. I have a colleague that is using the Windows version so I will try that tomorrow.

Have now tried it on Windows and it works perfectly. Must be a Mac bug.

Weird. If your colleague gets the same results, then I suggest for this one you need to go to Adobe Support. See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.
Alternatively...
I have assumed you are not both working on the project at the same time without source control.

That would seem logical. Please follow this link to report bugs or request new features. https://tracker.adobe.com. Post the link to your bug report / feature request in this thread and others can vote for it. The more people who do so, the higher it gets prioritised.
It might still be worth going to Support in case they are aware of this and have a workaround.
I'm not sure if it can be done but perhaps import the TOC from the Windows machine. Try it in a copy of the project in case.

I have forwarded the details to support and will see what they come back with.
In the meantime we will create the TOC on the Windows machine.
Thanks for your input.
