Auto-generating bookmarks in RH7 -- Firefox and special characters

Greetings.

I've have noticed some issues auto-generating bookmark names (frequetntly-asked questions, for example) that don't work properly in Firefox.  In particular this affects special characters such as "?" and "." -- obviously pertinent to a FAQ.  Is there a way to control or configure the naming of bookmarks to avoid special characters?
