Hello,
I compiled CHM in Robohelp 10. In the window properties, i choose to display 'Hide/Show', 'Back' and 'Forward' buttons. After compiling the CHM, back and forward buttons are active at the startup. How do i disable this?
But, when i select 'Options' button in the Window Properties, the Back and Forward buttons are disabled when the CHM appear.
Is there a way to disable Back and Forward button at the startup?
Also would like to know how to customize the options available under the Options button in the CHM(I mean i don't want Home, Print, Internet options to be displayed under the options button)

The options in your Window Properties should control what buttons are displayed in the compiled CHM. Also when you first display the CHM the Back / Forward buttons should be there but inactive. It is only as you start to page through the history of the topics that are displayed that they become active. Are you saying they are always active? If so, I wonder whether there is some history left behind of your use of the CHM. You may want to check out this link:

As for controlling the menu items available from the Options button, I don't believe they can easily be changed.

Thanks for your reply.
I don't think any history is left behind. Had that been the case then when i add option button, then both back and forward should have been active still.
But, like i said, when i include option button , back and forward buttons are inactive at the start(when i first display the chm)

I just ran a little test and found, as you have, that with Options ticked the Back and Forward buttons are disabled on opening, as they should be as there is no history.
I also found that with Options unticked, the two buttons show as enabled but do nothing.
I don't know if this is a Rh bug or a Microsoft Help Compiler bug so report it to Adobe. The more people who report a bug or request a feature, the more likely it is to be actioned. Please follow this link.
