Can I delete the rhtemp directories?

I am working with an older file and need to go through and rebuild it. In doing so, I find a number of temporary directories have been created under !SSL!. Can I safely delete all but the last of these directories? Each one is taking up quite a bit of space.

Also, can I import any other types of images. I am using bitmaps, but they are quite large. I previously used .gifs, but they do not appear to be supported anymore.

1] Temporary or do they start with wh? The folders immediately under !SSL! are your outputs. If you don't want them, you can trash them. However you cannot trash parts of an output. Well you can if you don't want the output to work again. More info needed.

2] RoboHelp for Word requires bitmaps.

On item 1, it is an RHTEMP folder with a number following, such as RHTEMP0, RHTEMP1, RHTEMP36, etc. The contents are the .hpj file that is about 2kb and the .rtf file.

The problem is the .rtf file which is quite large (60 MB) because of the size of the help file.

Does that help?

Can I delete the first twenty or so?

Item 2: What kind of software will create .wmf files? Photoshop and Illustrator don't seem to. It would be nice if Adobe would do that so that the apps work better together. Any suggestions?

You should be able to delete any or all of those. (You might want to just move them short term until you are quite sure there is no detrimental effect. Shouldn't be.)
