Can Robohelp Read a compiled .hlp file?

We have lost the source files for Robohelp! These files were create in 1999 and we do not know the version of Robohelp that was used at the time.

All we have are the .cnt, .gid and .hlp files

We are thinking about buying the latest version of Robohelp, but it only makes sense if it can open these compiled files.

The question is: can Robohelp open these compiled files?

This topic in the online help for RoboHelp 7 indicates that you can import compiled WinHelp files:

Alternatively, you can decompile the WinHelp file into its constituent parts and then import them.
