Can't get update for RH7

Guest
Feb 13, 2008 Feb 13, 2008
When I used the Adobe updater (Help | Updates), I cannot get the updates I want.

When I went to the Adobe site, I can't get download the update either.

I was wondering if it was just me.

I am running Vista and use IE7.

Thanks.

I'll be trying on Vista later today but meantime what happens when you use the updater. Does it just hang, at what point etc?

Thanks for the reply

The updater just says that the file cannot be verified almost right away.

I don't get any results when I go to Help > Updates. However, I am working with one monitor today when I usually have two, so there may be something popping up off of my screen that I can't locate.

There is nothing about this patch on Adobe's site if I go to Support (or Downloads) > Updates and choose RoboHelp. I'll keep looking for it there and try RH7's update mechanism when I have 2 monitors again tomorrow.

Hi there Ben

If you click Help * About RoboHelp HTML, what does the dialog report?

Cheers... Rick

Version 7.00.145. I believe that's the original released version of RH7.

Ok, now the updater went through, updated my Acrobat as well as my RoboHelp.

I guess there was either a glitch with my systme or Adobe's.

I got the notice to update just now in fact. After the updater had completed and said everything was updated, I looked at About RH and it still had the old version number.

I had to restart my computer because of another reason and when I checked again it said 7.01.001.

So, something's not right somewhere for RH to not report itself as having been updated after it's been updated.

Still no luck today (with the 2 monitors). I click Help > Updates in RH, and absolutely nothing happens. Is my updater somehow broken?

How can I get a request to Adobe to put this patch on the RH updates page?

*Sigh* Okay. I was just hoping for some lightning-fast way of doing it.
