Can't link Related Topics to a bookmark

Participant ,

....but that this not the name of the bookmark.

Example -

Topic: How to tie a shoe
Bookmark: Make sure you have long enough laces

I open the Related Topics thing, Topics in project list shows -
Topic: How to tie a shoe
Bookmark: How to tie a shoe

I have looked in theProject Manager, and the bookmarks show there with the proper name.

Wierd! What is up with this, and how do I fix it?

Thanks, Leisa

Best practice for bookmarks is: brief and no spaces (such as "long_laces").

Good luck,
Leon

oh - thanks. sort of. that is not what i wanted to hear. = (

If so, that means I can't name the bookmark the actual name of the procedure want to link to?

That diminishes the usefulness of the little buggers exponentially, doesn't it? At least for me - I have potentially hundreds of mid-level topics, and I must truncate the names of the bookmarks, therefore having twice as much to manage?

Sorry, I am having a hard time accepting that is the answer - denial, the first stage....

If it's true, I think it would be almost easier to forgo bookmarks altogether, and create separate topics for the things I would have bookmarked.

Anybody else? Any magic?

Leon indicated best practice and he is right there. It avoids many problems, not just this one.

I don't see how that is preventing you though if you must use very long titles. When you add to related topics, the window shows first the topic name and then the bookmark. There is a slide bar at the bottom

Using that, you can see the topic title and the bookmark name.

Yes it is more awkward but that's an own goal.
