There is a file that is checked out in RoboSource that neither the author nor anyone else can check back in. The author was working on this file and tried to check in a file but the system seemed to have hung. Then he shutdown the process and now no one can get latest version of the project.
We tried having the author not get latest version but check in the file from RoboHelp and the system just hangs. We tried to check it in from RoboSource and nothing happens. What else can we try?

So this is what we've tried to resolve it but we are still not 100% in working order.
We created a new folder in RSC
We rebuilt the project on the person who had the latest copy on their C drive
We added the project to RSC using Add Tree to the new folder
We opened the project from C drive in RoboHelp
RH asked to Add to Source Control so we did - this time we changed the Root Path to the new folder in RSC
In effect we rebuilt the project and put it in another location on RSC. This seemed to clear the checked out file in the original folder. But we cannot delete the old folder. No big deal, we can live with that. But the RSC pulled in some of the RH files such as .pss, .cpd, .hhp, so we removed those manually.
All seems ok.....except...RH doesn't always recognize that this project is in RSC (the checkin/out icons are greyed out, only the + Add to source control is enabled). Once we add to source control those icons get enabled and we can get latest version but when you close the RH app and open it the same thing happens again, we have to add to version control again.
Anyone know why this is happening and how to resolve it?
