Cannot check in files or undo checkout

New Here ,
Mar 18, 2008 Mar 18, 2008
Robohelp HTML 7.0 indicates that some files are checked out but when I try to check in it says: "Nothing to CheckIn, files are identical". When I try to check in from Robosource Control the same message appears. And I can't unCheckout as well. The same issue is in RoboSource Control. So the problem is that files are checked out but I can't check them in or undo checkout.

Forgive me for asking what might be a dumb question, but are the files checked out to you? Also, are you querying RoboSource Control from the same machine that the RoboHelp project lives on?

Another thing to check: make sure that you have refreshed the status of your list (Refresh Status toolbar button in RoboHelp).

Is this RoboSource Control that comes with X5 or with RoboHelp Office 7? We had this issue occasionally with X5. The only way I have ever been able to undo checkouts is by finding the file I want in RoboSource Control, right-clicking on it, and selecting Properties. Then, on the RoboSource Properties dialog box, click the Checkouts tab, and then see if the file is listed as checked out here. If it is, you can undo the checkout by selecting the file here and clicking Undo Checkout button.
