Cannot link to FM document when starting new project

Hi,

We are using FM12 and RH HTML 11. We recently upgraded from TCS 4 to TCS 5.

We would like to dynamically link our FM books in RH. However, the option is greyed out. We encountered the problem with TCS 4, so I don’t think it is related to the upgrade.

Any suggestions you have as to how to activate this option would be greatly appreciated.

If the option is disabled, then something is wrong in your install – that’s the whole point of the special TCS integration.

I could (perhaps) understand if I alone encountered this problem but there are three of us in the team and we all have the same issue. We have uninstalled and reinstalled the suite several times and the problem persists.

That makes me suspect that there’s something in your corporate environment that is blocking the full installation of the suite. Make sure that you have full admin rights and grant yourself full permissions on your c:\ drive (it’s not automatic as an admin user as it used to be back in the XP days).

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. Just to be on the safe side, I unistalled and reinstalled the suite with full admin rights including granting myself permission on my C:\ drive. That did the trick! My colleagues didn't bother with unistalling/reinstalling. They just granted themselves full permission on their C:\ drives and that was enough to enable the option.
