I am using Windows 11 and Robohelp version 2022.2.22 and nothing happens when I use the Check for updates option. I did see that was a problem with a previous version. Should this be working for 2022.2.22?

Nope, Patch 2 for RH2022 is the current (June 2023) latest. The issue was in the RH2022.1 version - it couldn't "find" the update, so you had to download it manually.

Jeff - I don't understand your answer....you are saying no the check for updates doesn't work with Patch 2?

No, I'm just saying that there aren't any further updates (yet) off that version. The "No Updates Found" message mechanism may be busted, but you're on the latest version.

I think that's the latest version as of 6 June 2023, so using the check wouldn't find anything, although I would have expected a message to say no updates found.
I just realised my copy is update 1 which has the problem (opens creative cloud instead), so I won't be able to confirm that message until I manually download the latest patch, which won't be until tomorrow, as it's late here.

In previous versions, it would display a popup and say something about no updates available. Nothing happens right now, what are other people seeing that are on Patch 2?

I installed update 2 and can confirm a dialog box opens to check for updates, and then displays a message that there are no new updates. It does take several seconds for the dialog box to appear, though.
Another possibility is that the dialog box has fallen off the screen. You should be able to tell if it's opened if you see a white and black Adobe icon in the task bar. If this is the case, you might be able to get it to display by doing the following.
1. Open Robohelp and click Help > Check for Updates. Make sure you don't click on anything else after doing this.
2. Wait for the dialog box to open and, still without clicking on anything, press Alt+Spacebar, M, then any arrow key. Then waggle the mouse and the dialog box should attach to your cursor.
3. Click to drop it whereever you wish.

Thanks! Good to know, I guess I'll see what happens when patch 3 comes out. I don't have a white and black icon on the taskbar.

Your network may be blocking the update mechanism from doing its "phone home" thing. No worries, but something to keep an eye on when the next patch gets released.
