Customer installed our company's software on 8 different pcs.
Help only works on 6 of them. The software was installed by the
same person who had administrative rights to all the pcs. The other
2 only show the table of contents when F1 for help is pressed. We
did the registry edit to get chms to work on the network and that
shows up on the customers pcs.

in Windows Explorer, try this:
find the chm file, and right-click on the file name to
display the right-click menu
select Properties.
on the General tab, at the bottom, see if there is a button
that says Unblock. if there is, click on it.
Go into the program and try to access Help again. Should be
all set.
So all eight PC users are accessing your help files over the
network, but the registry changes that were made to enable this
have worked for six users only? The following article describes
