CHM issues with symbol languages

New Here ,
Jul 09, 2008 Jul 09, 2008
We have our help doc in 9 languages total, how ever the symbol languages (Japanese, Korean) do not function right when output to a CHM. It appears as though any html file name that has symbols in it are the ones with problems. A few sections are just the product name and in plain English and display just fine. If the file name has a symbol, I get a page cannot be displayed error.

Any one have a fix for this?

Thanks in advance!!!!

Welcome to the forum.

I am told, "If you are compiling CHM on English M/C (any non Japanese m/c) with Japanese file name, it will not work. CHM compiler does not handle that."

I have been able to correctly generate a CHM file by setting the project language in Robohelp in Japanese and the language used for non-unicode programs in Windows to Japanese also.
