Is there a shortcut I can put on the customer desktop to open the AIR help file daily without having to click the .AIR file and wait for the installation? Customer closes AIR Help File daily. How do they open it without installing .AIR daily? (I am generating the help file using RH8 and AIR 2)
Thanks,
Michelle
Yes you have found the correct exe. You defined that when you created the layout. By default the folder in Program Files is the name of your help but you can change that, as described on my site.

The .AIR file installs the help, then the user needs to run the exe from Program Files. I don't follow why you think the user has to reinstall it daily. You only install a program once. When the user installs the help, a desktop shortcut is created and they use that to open the help.

Which .exe file in Program Files? I have the AdobeAIRInstaller.exe (11,841 KB Application). I click on it and the Adobe AIR Setup dialog box is displayed, "Adobe AIR Already Installed".
And I have the another .exe I have in the Program Files\Adobe\Flash Player\AddIns\airappinstaller\airappinstaller.exe. (53 KB Application) I double click that and it does no thing.
I think I just found it. It is the C:\Program Files\the name of the help file\the name of the help file.exe.
