Hi all,
Is there a way to craft topics in html format by default?
I know, I can change filename when creating a topic, however we are looking for this as a setting by default.

Sorry but it is not an option. You could submit a feature request.

Please follow this link to request features. https://tracker.adobe.com

Post the link to your feature request in this thread and others can vote for it. The more people who do so, the higher it gets prioritised.

In this case it doesn't matter but please always include the version of RoboHelp you are using as that can and often does affect answers.

Also you might want to visit your profile and change your forum name to something more useful, it doesn't have to be your real name.

Thanks, Peter I'm using Frameless preset.

Can I just rename index and  topic files to html manually? Any experience?

Looks like functionality is okay after renaming.

I don't think changing the start page has caused anyone issues.

For topics is this a new or existing project?

  • If it is new and you rename the topics on creation, I would expect the links to use the html naming.
  • If it is an existing project then you will have links to htm but files named as html. I think browsers will handle that but you need to check.

Also check the TOC etc work OK. I think they will but not something I have tested.

I'm curious as to why you need to do this.
